Izzie should stay or leave?

I have recently come across many rumors about Katherine Heigl’s (Dr. Izzie Stevens) departure from the Grey’s Anatomy. There have been speculations from the time she made bitter statements about the writers of the show and refused to let her name be put forward for Emmy nominations for her role in the show this year.
She arrogantly announced that she is leaving a chance for the other actresses by taking her name out of Emmy and she doesn’t find herself deserving as there was very little of her in the last season. She said writers didn’t give her character enough substance for making her role worthy of Emmy. The show producers and writers were quite angry with her statements as she had won Emmy a year back due to the same writers of ‘Grey Anatomy’. From that time everybody was speculating about her departure from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ for next Season. But later on her statements appeared in newspapers that ‘Grey Anatomy’ is like her family and she is not going to leave it for her movie career.
But now again there is rumor that may be producers don’t want her anymore in the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. But, on the other hand, I recently read the confirmed news about her stay in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. I personally believe that she really has a weak role. It seems that she is in hospital just to carry on dating different guys instead of concentrating on her career. She doesn’t even leave her patients alone. She fell in love with Denny once, the heart patient and remained depressed for many days after his death. She even adopted unethical means of treatment because of her emotional attachment to him.
Otherwise, she never helps any other patient as a part of her duties as a doctor. Her presence on the show is just entertainment factor. I have not seen her she discovering something constructive in medical field. She wants to become a surgeon but remains busy in finding the right man for herself in hospital. I think, she doesn’t fit into the doctor’s role and hasn’t much to do in the coming season except romancing with George. What do you say?
